All-age corporate worship on the first Sunday morning in the month.
Once a month our young folk remain with the adults throughout the morning service for an all-age interactive time of praise, prayer, teaching and lots of fun. During term time we are also joined by the Boys' and Girls' Brigades.
At SLBC we believe in the importance of corporate worship and therefore include a family time at the beginning of our morning service. After this, however, our young folk leave the adults to join with their own age-group in a youth programme including bible teaching, music, praise, prayer, drama, craft, games and so on. We also run an after-church event for older teens to relax and build relationships.
Crèche: Babies and Pre-schoolers
A crèche for babies and preschoolers is available to anyone joining our Sunday morning services. Please ask a door steward on arrival for directions.
Infants are enabled to take their first steps into a fun time of bible stories, singing and craft.
Junior-age children develop their expression of faith through music and drama as well as interactive bible-teaching, craft and games.
Maintaining an interest in church life amongst younger teens is increasingly difficult in today's society. Nevertheless, RS2 leaders seek to encourage, support and continue to develop the faith of this vulnerable age-group through contemporary teaching and discussion.
